Harmony Day 2019
Harmony Day is a very special celebration at Frankston Primary School as we come together to celebrate one of the very special characteristics that makes us unique – our cultural diversity. Our students and community came to school dressed in our traditional cultural clothing and colours to share our cultural identity. We acknowledged and celebrated our cultural diversity with a special assembly held by our Student Representative Council and shared in song with our school choir. Our 3/4 students presented a South American cultural dance to our community in collaboration with dance artists from the Frankston Arts Centre as part of the Ventana Festival celebrating indigenous cultures. Our whole school brought a traditional cultural food dish to share; and students, parents and carers, teachers and families all enjoined sharing morning tea together in our school hall.Mother’s Day Activity Afternoon 2019
Our community came together in celebration of Mother’s Day in May with many mothers, grandparents and special adults coming to join us for a fun-filled afternoon of action-packed family activities. Afterwards we all enjoyed a well-earned hot dog and drink as part of our very special time together.‘Stay and Play’ 2019
Thanks to our Frankston Primary School Parent and Carers as Partners Association our community enjoyed our first ‘Stay and Play’ get together on the last day of Term Two.
Families enjoyed the social interactions of coming together - children playing together, parents and carers meeting up and getting to know one another and sharing stories, and a sausage sizzle.
