Our Literacy program encompasses an evidence-based Instructional Teaching Model that maximises student engagement and learning within every classroom.Our Literacy program addresses the needs and interests of all students within the classroom through a range of individual, small group and whole class activities. Ongoing monitoring of student achievement assists teachers to identify student needs and to set goals for future student learning.

Our Specialist Programs
Visual Arts is a specialist program where students attend one hour weekly sessions. It is a an engaging, fun and hands-on art program that all students participate in from Prep to Grade 6 with our Specialist Art teacher.
Students explore a range of work, techniques and styles from different artists to help inspire their own creativity. The visual arts program focuses on the exploration of techniques, mediums, artists and art styles to give the students a wide range of skills.
All students from Prep to Grade 6 participate in a specialist Performing Arts class.
Our Performing Arts Program encompasses singing, dancing, performance and playing a variety of musical instruments.
All students from Prep to Grade 6 participate in specialist Physical Education classes throughout the year with our Specialist PE teacher.
There are also many opportunities for students to access a range of extra-curricular sporting activities, including House Sports Days, Track and Field Athletics and Interschool Sport particularly though Grades 3 – 6.
All students complete a swimming program every year. Prep to Grade 4 participate in swimming lessons at the local pool and Grade 5/6 participate in a beach swimming program.
French Language Program
All students from Foundation to Grade 6 have the opportunity to participate in French lessons.Learning within the French Japanese Language Curriculum aims to develop student’s French language knowledge, understanding and skills and supports the development of student’s intercultural capabilities and understandings.Students learn everyday French language such as numbers, simple greetings and classroom expressions, and are supported and challenged to use every day French language within classroom routines.Students experience a wide range of virtual, online and hands-on activities that aim to build students’ French language communication.Information and Communication Technology
Our P – 2 students enjoy the use of I-Pads and our 3 – 6 students enjoy the use of student netbook computers. Students build upon their ICT skills during literacy, numeracy and integrated learning experiences. Classrooms also have interactive whiteboards/TV monitors to enable access to a variety of digital platforms that support student learning.Library
Our students attend at least one library session each week with their classroom teacher.
Our students enjoy shared and activities during this time and have the opportunity to borrow a wide range of books to bring home and read with their families.
